INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF LIQUID WALLPAPER
PREPARING THE MATERIAL FOR APPLICATION
Pour one or more packs into a plastic basin, observing the water ratio specified on the package. Warm water should be added gradually while stirring the mixture. The final consistency should resemble porridge. Let the mixture sit for 4–5 hours to allow the adhesive to dissolve completely.
Do not mix previously soaked material with dry material — only combine already soaked batches.
Application is done with a plastic trowel using a plastering technique, maintaining a layer of 1–2 mm. To achieve a “spray texture” effect, apply the material using a spray gun.
Do not leave the surface unfinished (apply from corner to corner).
Ensure good ventilation after application (drafts are not harmful).
Clean tools with water after use.
NOTE: The final texture and color will only be visible once the material is fully dry.
The material can be reused. To do this, moisten the surface thoroughly with water and remove it with a spatula. Add glue and 10–20% of new material, mix well, and reapply.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Packs with different production dates must be mixed in equal proportions. This allows for a variety of shades.
To lighten the color, you may add ALASKA 1. If desired, ALASKA 1 can be tinted with any water-dispersion colorant (similar to water-based paint). In this case, add the colorant to the water before mixing in the material.
IMPORTANT: MATERIAL DOES NOT INCLUDE GLITTER, except for HELGA, MOZAIK, VERONA, LUX, and BIANCO.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface to be covered must be dry and clean. Remove household dirt, old wallpaper, limewash, peeling water-based paint, metal items, construction dust, etc.
WARNING: Do not apply to walls treated with finishing putty without consulting professionals.
Before applying liquid wallpaper, it is recommended to prime the walls using Primer Exwall (manufacturer’s primer) for better adhesion.
To prevent staining caused by plaster inconsistencies (lime, chipboard, drywall, remnants of old wallpaper glue), first coat the walls with white PF-115 paint, then apply one layer of Primer Exwall.
ALASKA 1 is best applied with a plastic trowel to small areas (e.g. window reveals). For ceilings and walls, use a spray gun.
Mixers are prohibited for stirring materials.
FOR BEST DURABILITY:
To achieve a more durable surface, acrylate adhesive should be added before water (especially recommended for Paradise and Briz).
Pour the material into a container, add the adhesive, and then add water as per the instructions.
For 1 pack of wallpaper, use 1.5–2 kg of adhesive.
For types like Rich, Ellie, Lux, Mozaik, use 1.5 to 2 kg.
When applying Paradise, Color, and especially Briz, make sure to maintain a uniform layer to avoid spotting while the material is still wet.
Note: After drying, ALASKA 1 may take on a slightly bluish tint.
DISCLAIMER
The manufacturer is not responsible for bubbling or detachment of the old substrate underneath the liquid wallpaper.
In case of bubbling or peeling of the liquid wallpaper layer, the manufacturer holds no liability, especially if the old surface contains low-quality materials, such as oil- or glue-based putty applied improperly.
